The Company

Our client, Crosby’s Molasses Company, is a family-owned and operated business that has been successfully producing quality food products for over 125 years.  Their flagship product, Crosby’s Molasses, is a household name.  Crosby's has a very strong commitment to quality and to their employees, who are a key reason for their success.

The Opportunity

Crosby’s is currently looking for a “Creative Connections Manager”.  In this exciting new role, you will harness the power of social media while also utilizing more traditional marketing techniques to raise the profile of Crosby’s Molasses as a must-have ingredient for today’s modern cook.  You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge of social networking, your passion for cooking, and your connections in the foodie community to build a community of loyal customers.  As an advocate for the company and its products, you will be responsible for constantly finding and communicating ways to help customers get Crosby’s products out of the cupboard and onto the plate.  You will also update the company’s website with news and information that will encourage users to return again and again and ensure that Crosby’s “cookies” are ubiquitous in both users’ kitchens and their cache.

The Requirements

As our ideal candidate, you have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing and several years of marketing experience.  You have a proven track record using conventional and more modern marketing techniques to successfully reach and appeal to customers.  You have demonstrated a strong ability to develop and implement ambitious marketing strategies.  Superior written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail are requirements for this role.  You have above average culinary skills and the ability to create and test new recipes.  Advanced expertise using a variety of social media tools successfully for business purposes is a must.  You have a strong ability to network and work with members of the community and are known for thinking outside the box.  Experience with website maintenance and bilingualism (English and French) are definite assets.
