THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an excellent

highly talented software and QA engineers
using the latest technologies to develop
highly successful enterprise software.
As an integral member of the QA team, you
will be working closely with the development
team to identify and resolve issues with the
software and with the customer support team
to replicate issues.
As a Quality Assurance
Engineer with the Q1 Labs team, you will
have the opportunity to plan, author, and
execute product test plans. You will also be
involved in accurately estimating the QA
phase of the software development lifecycle. You will perform
the assessment, planning and execution of
test efforts required for new
functions/features under development. You
will work with quality and development
engineers to understand/resolve potential
defects in the product
and you will develop new approaches, as well
as enhancements, modifications, and
corrections to existing testing
methodologies and processes. You will also
develop test automations.
In addition, you will configure and install
Linux servers and other security devices.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal candidate has a
strong drive for quality, takes pride in
their work with the customer in mind, and
has a strong eye for detail. You have
several years’ experience as a QA engineer,
or some combination of QA,
technical support and/or system or network
administrator experience. You have
experience with C++, Perl, Java/Java script,
Visual Basic, SQL, XML or HTML. A
strong knowledge of Linux is a must as is
experience working with MS Windows network
infrastructures. Experience with test
automation/scripting, and network security
experience are definite assets.
