THE OPPORTUNITY

Our software integrates with every type of device that can be found on a network and is processing thousands of events per second.  We are leveraging the Java platform to perform and scale in unique and exciting ways! 

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer with a passion for working with Linux to join our world class team of software engineers.  You will be part of the team designing and implementing the features that move the entire security intelligence space forward.   As an integral part of the configuration and release management team, you will ensure our clients’ networks remain safe and secure.

You will play a key role in maintaining the kernel and associated Red Hat Packet Managers (RPM) over the life cycle of our QRadar products.  You will also play an important role in monitoring for Linux security vulnerabilities and ensuring the Linux operating system is secure and hardened. 

You will also have the opportunity to mentor and coach junior developers in industry best practices, procedures and concepts, including code/design reviews.  You will work closely with our quality assurance and customer support teams to ensure our clients continue to receive the most complete and effective network security intelligence solutions in the world.

THE REQUIREMENTS

You have a love of Linux technology and applying the latest techniques to solve new and challenging problems.  You are an experienced software developer with strong network security experience and advanced scripting knowledge in Shell, Perl or Python.  You have system administration experience with Linux or other Unix variants and an understanding of how to integrate Linux based operating systems onto various hardware platforms.  You are well recognized for your problem solving skills and for your attention to detail and quality.
