the opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Manager in this key role for the organization, you will take on responsibility for overall freight operations.  This will include promoting a quality of service culture throughout the organization, effectively managing and developing drivers and dispatchers to their full potential, continuously maintaining a high focus on safety, ensuring professional quality, on-time delivery and increasing overall profitability. 

the requirements

Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully managing profitable freight operations.  A strong focus on quality of service and building client-focused organizations is a must!  A strong knowledge of and experience with safety requirements in the transportation industry is also required.  In addition, you will be recognized for your ability to build, lead and develop teams of drivers and dispatchers to reach their full potential.  You are also known for having higher retention rates for drivers than is the norm in the transportation sector.  Experience with Truckmate is a definite asset.
